A bank that wanted to be a more objective industry expert needed a content channel of its own.
Bankers Trust wanted to promote itself as a more objective industry expert. The bank's existing website was low on content. There was a dearth of information available to customers, and there wasn't much scope for putting more information into the existing site.
Bank websites are usually highly secured by necessity, and some information is not public for security reasons. That security posture is non-negotiable for the platform that handles accounts and transactions, but it limits how effectively the bank can use that platform to inform and educate customers about products, services, and the financial topics customers care about.
Increasing visibility was the need of the hour. Visibility through informative content would let customers get the information they needed or wanted, position Bankers Trust as an industry expert, and create a content channel that did not conflict with the security obligations of the main banking platform.
